I have a 2005 Liberty CRD Limited with 93K miles. Green Diesel, deleted, Electric fan, updated thermostat housing and powder coated wheels that look like chrome. Getting ready to sell because I just don't drive it enough to justify the insurance any more. What's it worth? I'm not looking for offers just some educated advice, thanks.

Nobody else is responding, so I’ll take a guess. That sounds like a pretty nice Liberty. If it isn’t rusty, and everything works well, I would think $5 to $10K, depending on options. Used car prices are pretty crazy right now. But the market for diesel Liberty’s is not large, so it may not sell very fast. One thing - has the timing belt been changed recently? If not, you probably have to deduct the cost of that job, $1,000 or so.

If it is exceptionally clean, no rust, with all the mods and updates done, it could be worth a good bit more. :D

Value is in the eye of the beholder, a CRD nut like you or me might just pay more than its worth.

Very true!
Worth is truly a relative term based on a number of factors including condition, number of modifications and updates done along with additional custom aftermarket equipment added.
It all comes into play when talking about selling prices along with its rarity and uniqueness.
As these unusual vehicles age and become older and older and hard to find real good ones in great condition, and there are less of them around, they will truly become somewhat of a collectors items for some.
I only see the price and value increasing over time for meticulously taken care of and real clean no rust vehicles.....
Time will tell.

I have not seen a CRD in “good” condition to compare to. There are a lot of gassers in my area for around the $3,500-$4,000 mark. I would guess a well maintained CRD with the necessary maintenance items taken care of would be worth more than that.

I personally feel the timing belt is a big one. I am not afraid of doing one because I am fairly mechanically inclined, and have done a few on other cars. But there are people that will walk away for that reason. At the mileage that is in yours, it is about time to replace the timing belt.
