Here is an intake heater that can be used either with or without the factory glow plugs, all you need is a couple of clamps and a high amp relay like the ones they use on the 7.3 power stroke intake heater and a switch or intake heater controller from a Cummins and it can be automatic… this can even be used with functional emissions controls as it will go in the middle of the cold side boost tube
