My 2006 Lib CRD has been throwing P1267 for a while, my diesel mech retired and the local Jeep guy (not dealer) says that, based on the code, it will need 4 new plugs and a new harness, which is no longer available from the dealer. Anyone know if this is the case, or if I should take it to someone more diesel savvy? If so, aftermarket recommendations? I really don't want to drop a lot of dough on this, it really doesn't affect me, never gets below 40 here, but I hate having that check light on!

All four Glow Plugs and the harness all going bad at the same time, I say BS!
Your problem is probably a bad connection or just No. 4 GP?

From my notes:
P1267 -- glow plug #4 control circuit low
-- Glow control circuit low indicates a possible problem with the control relay, there by the ECM -- R&R the connector to burnish the contacts, also inspecting for oxidation\corrosion.

Probably worth checking the 4 wire connector that goes to the GP's . For the harness to the GP's you can check the resistance from that connector to the GP's & the GP's with an ohm meter (test meter) Should only be a few ohms to each GP from the plug pin.

Ive gone through a lot of plugs, my engine seems to eat them faster than it should.

#4 plug is easy to reach and likely the problem, it would just replace the single plug first and see if it resolves.

if it were say #3 plug, or the harness being the issue, and they were original plugs with a lot of miles, then i would consider replacing 4 plugs + harness due to the labor of getting in there, but in your case not necessary.
