Still looking around for a capable DIY scanner, and ran across the Xtool D7 and D8 models. Just curious if anyone here had had any experience with them and can comment.

Also xtool makes a BT unit (the A30x), which has less features but looks good on paper. Anyone use one of these?

TIA

I haven't had any dealings with the Xtool D7. What I have learned looking for a scanner is the ads/descriptions are not accurate. If you are going to spend money on one you need to make sure it will do what you want. Don't get an iCarsoft US. The add states it will work on a Jeep. It says if year is before 2005 or after 2014. I needed to injector coding. Ad states it can. It Can't. It can only do 2011 - 2013. Wrote the manufacture and crickets. I started emailing the manufactures. The FOXWELL NT530 is supposed to do this according to the manufacture. I haven't bought one yet so I don't know. Something is wrong with the Unison-Ring so got to get the turbo off and see what happened.

I have a Foxwell NT530 https://www.foxwelldiag.com/products/foxwell-nt530, and it works well. But I think you may contact the manufacturer first, I used to email the vehicle info and VIN to make sure it has the specific functions I needed.
