| Post subject: | JBA lift |
I talked with Marlin a few years back when they quit selling their lifts and he said he won’t offer them any more so I am almost done building my own. I just spoke with the tech guy at Eibach a few weeks back and determined the springs to get, I am using the remote reservoir adjustable fox shocks and since they have a 12” body I have landed on the 400lb 12” spring as this will give best ride and with the arb winch bumper and winch it will have doe the load well. After talking with the guy for 20 min to make sure to have all the info it looks like I am in the right direction, from what I could see in photos it looks like they used too short of a spring for their lift because on a 12 inch shock you only want 1/2 to 2” of pre load and from what I can tell the JBA lift used a 10” spring. Does anyone have a pic of the front JBA spring so I can confirm. I currently have the ome 500lb springs and Bilstein b8 shocks on the bottom adjustment with the JBA arms and it take bumps great but it has literally no dropout so if it hits a hole it rides terrible and that’s why I am redoing the suspension. My goal is the same 3” I have but with more travel and I could do a 14” spring but I would end up with a 4”lift and the higher you go the les dropout you get so worse ride. So I have landed on 3” with as much travel as I can get for best ride and since the stock springs are 350 the 400 will carry load better and not sag but still give a good ride Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
