Done , I just updated my profile
thanks!

What happened to the Durango transmission option you alluded to in your initial post in this thread?

I wasn't fast enough to buy it, but
it wasn't like new, 120 000 kms ..
so I decide to go for the rebuilt
and also because it was almost the same price at the end.
I bought this jeep last year, cheap for the market here, and the guy told me the trans had been touched because it was shifting hard.. seems that it was bad at the first place

now I really hope it will shift ultra smooth,
and with good response when hitting the gas. and no failure ... lets
see tomorrow when they finish to install the trans..

we are planning a long trip to find some
wind up north. so finger crossed, everything will go well with it.

I hope your rebuilders are familiar with this 545RFE transmission?

And they replace the front pump assembly with a new updated version.
There are some bores in the front pump that wear out with time and should be replaced anytime the transmission has some age on it and it is being rebuilt.

Most owners also opt for installing the TransGo Kit when rebuilding the transmission and upgrading the torque converter with a better unit.
The kit increases the line pressure and firms up the shifts to help provide better holding power for the clutches in the torque when in overdrive gears.
It also helps increase the life of the bands with the firmer shifts.

I hope too :)
the mechanic is use to work with jeep brand.
he recommend to rebuilt the trans with this shop.
they had to send the trans, it just got back this week..

I don't think they have access to this knowledge/parts/update of this kind here.

so, as far as I know , they just change a bunch of expensive stock parts. including some rods, solenoid case, all the seal, sensors, pump filters and rebuilt the TC.
seems that they cut in half the TC , change some stuff inside and welded it ..
I have some photos but cant find how to post them.
the trans looks very clean imo but I am no specialist
total cost repair 2100 usd at the moment. :(
