| Post subject: | Heli-Coil type vs Time-Sert type Thread Repair Strength Test |
Great test video just posted today on thread repair using various Heli-Coil thread repair and Time-Sert thread repair provided by the YouTube Channel "Torque Test Channel" really shows why one is stronger than the other. He used ARP head studs for the tests. This is why I have always liked Heli-Coil repairs, especially in aluminum where it actually increases the thread holding capacity above just threads alone in aluminum.
