My condenser fan has stopped working, has 12v on both blue wires and ground verified on black wire.
Is the motor able to be taken apart to replace the brushes in without ripping through crimps on the motor case? I've not removed the fan as of yet.
I see they are no longer avail through mopar..
The aftermarket fan listed on rock auto doesn't seem to fill the shroud that they show it with so, has anyone used one of these fan assemblys to comment if its the same diamater fan and if the shroud it comes with fits properly?
Thanks for replies,
Mike

Just swapped in a pt cruiser fan motor part number PM9145 vdo brand.
Straight swap in no adjustment or modification needed, works great and restored a/c cooling while sitting.

What I found in the old motor was one of four brushes wore unevenly and put a taper into the face of the commutator.
The other three brushes were fine at about half worn.

Thanks to the previous thread :JEEPIN:
