Well. I got the ol' girl back together after putting in a new head and timing belt. After getting fuel to the injectors she started up and purred like a kitten. Let it idle for a little bit to warm up and was about to take it for a test drive and... No power.
Back in August I started loosing power and having hard starts and found out my fuel pressure solenoid on the end of the fuel rail was bad. Replaced it but still had diminished power. No CEL or codes. That's when I pulled the injectors to have them tested but found antifreeze on them and noticed oil in my coolant reservoir. My first thought was that the blown head gasket was the cause of the power loss. Now I know that's not the case. Since I have no codes I'm thinking it's probably either the injectors or the injection pump. Just my luck... SO, I pulled the injectors and boxed them up to send to Oregon Fuel Injection for testing. My only concern is if the CP3 is coming apart, could this cause the injectors to fail. I'm thinking maybe to be safe, I should pull the IP and send it in to be tested also.
The tech at OFI said the injectors useful life is 150k and 200-250k for the CP3. That's an additional $4,000 I didn't want to spend.
