Well. I got the ol' girl back together after putting in a new head and timing belt. After getting fuel to the injectors she started up and purred like a kitten. Let it idle for a little bit to warm up and was about to take it for a test drive and... No power. :banghead:

Back in August I started loosing power and having hard starts and found out my fuel pressure solenoid on the end of the fuel rail was bad. Replaced it but still had diminished power. No CEL or codes. That's when I pulled the injectors to have them tested but found antifreeze on them and noticed oil in my coolant reservoir. My first thought was that the blown head gasket was the cause of the power loss. Now I know that's not the case. Since I have no codes I'm thinking it's probably either the injectors or the injection pump. Just my luck... SO, I pulled the injectors and boxed them up to send to Oregon Fuel Injection for testing. My only concern is if the CP3 is coming apart, could this cause the injectors to fail. I'm thinking maybe to be safe, I should pull the IP and send it in to be tested also.

The tech at OFI said the injectors useful life is 150k and 200-250k for the CP3. That's an additional $4,000 I didn't want to spend. :furious:

You can get your injectors tested at a factory authorized Bosch fuel injection service center for approximately $50 each. They will give you a full print out for each injector.

Have you checked your turbo veins for full movement? When mine had low power, I found that my turbo veins where sticking even though I did the turbo actuator test using the vacuum control solenoid method.

I took the turbo off and split it apart found that i had carbon build up on both the veins and the "fingers" that make them move in unison (sorry i forget the official term/name of the item). Once i cleaned it up with a backing soda media blaster, I had full movement again and my power back.

Just a thought

Update. Sent my injectors in for testing at Express Diesel. They said they were out of spec so I had them rebuilt with new nozzles. Pulled the fuel filter off because when it broke down I was running WVO and noticed it was all gunked up. Went ahead and pumped all the WVO mix out of the fuel tank and when doing so noticed air in the lines. Found a couple of hose clamps that were loose and causing air contamination.

Finally I hooked up clear 1/4" hose to each injector line and ran all 4 to a glass jar. Without the injectors installed yet I turned the motor over until nothing but clean diesel came out to make sure no debris was coming out of my HP injection pump.

Fired it up and she's purring like a kitten! Took it for a test drive and all is well! Time for a drink! :pepper:
