Hello,
I had to jump my 2005 CRD shortly after purchasing it in November and that led to purchasing a new battery altogether, but I now have a check engine light on and code P0610 which states "ECM needs to be reprogrammed. ECM has failed". The car drives perfectly fine around town and on the freeway, but is there any possible way for me to reprogram this? Unfortunately I didn't realize I shouldn't jump this car until it was too late.
My father in law has an OBD2 reader, which states it does SRS, ABS, and ECM, it can connect to my computer and the Jeep. Would that device be able to help assuming I can get the software?
I've read thread after thread on here trying to figure out how to fix this problem, but after months of feeling unsure how to proceed I figure I should just ask.
