just got the cylinder head from machine shop, (spare engine). they checked the head no issues it was straight with no leaks valves were in good condition but I requested them to replace exhaust valves also they informed me that VW 6mm valve guide seals were direct fit to our CRD

I wouldn't doubt it. VW TDI head studs used to be a direct replacement for the TTY bolts.
