Fuel Quantity Solenoid (preferred name)
Quote:
Sometime referred to as:
Fuel Control Actuator
Fuel Pressure Regulator
AKA mprop Fuel Pressure Valve, Fuel Pump Pressure Regulator, etc.)

on back of CP3
The Fuel Control Actuator solenoid valve is a pulse-width modulated valve that controls the amount of fuel sent or delayed to the high-pressure pump elements inside the high-pressure pump.

Thanks WW! I was hoping to get some clarification from the OP. Hopefully that was what he was looking for.

Thanks, DieselJeepLuvr, Thanks WW,

That is the one. It let me stranded in Burley, ID on Sept 7 on my way back from Walla Walla, WA, and the local repair shop said to me that they located one through the number obtained from the local jeep dealer that should have arrived by last Friday. I wanted to confirm the part number, just in case. I could not get the part number in my tries at the internet.

If you Google the Bosch part number, there are plenty of them available online. This part was used on many diesel engines that used the CP3 injection pump including Chrysler products, and General Motors vehicles with the Duramax engines.
