[size=150]I have developed a thermostat assembly with a replaceable thermostat so if anyone here is wanting one of my modded thermostats. Let me know. If you want them powder coated WWDiesel can make it happen. If you send in your core for rebuild it currently takes about a week turnaround. Please post here if you are interested and then send me a PM for further details.

Price includes a rebuilt thermostat with a high quality 203F degree hemi thermostat and gasket ready to install with exchange. There is a 180F option but there are no advantages with using a cooler thermostat option. Other custom paint colors may be available upon request.

Raw (rough and ready) $299+shipping (with exchange)
Painted red, blue or silver $349+shipping (with exchange)
Core Charge $100 (refundable with receipt of a rebuildable core).
Payment due once Mod is complete, tested, boxed up and ready to ship.

I believe you have to be a member of the Liberty CRD group.

I'm currently past the halfway point of replacing the timing belt, serp belt. turbo charger and glow plugs on my 2006 CRD with 210,000 miles. Of course this necessitated a full coolant and oil change, all other associated parts replacement, as well as an intake elbow cleaning. Once parts are available, I will consider adding the pro vent kit. That said, I did NOT realize the the thermostat was a sore maintenance point on these slightly troublesome but otherwise awesome rigs. and am now thinking I should replace the oem one with one of your units.

Please tell me--

1) Do you have one of these high flow and high temp thermostats in stock and ready to ship??.

2) Can I replace the oem thermostat with this one with minimal coolant loss and effort only after I get the work already underway performed...I REALLY need to get this CRD up and running ASAP and would like to continue putting it the engine back together.

If I can just replace the thermostat later with minimal extra effort, I will probably choose that route.
If, on the the other hand, that would necessitate many backward steps, I will wait for this part to arrive.

3) ...Please DM me with a link or way to purchase it with paypal as I do NOT Facebook.

Thanks for all the trouble you have gone thru designing this upgrade part and MANY thanks for taking the time to answer my silly questions.

Thermostat shipped! Email me so I can send you a tracking number. And please use the PM feature when contacting members as opposed to email through the Lost Jeep Administrator.

How to Post & Share Pictures on LOSTJeeps Forum

You can post & share pictures and images on LOSTJeep.com, you first have to join and use a picture sharing/hosting service like PostImage or one of the many *others listed below.

ImagePostimages — free image hosting / image upload
Provides free image upload and hosting integration for forums. Free picture hosting and photo sharing for websites and blogs.

One very important thing to remember when using image tags: the image you display must already be available on the internet (it cannot exist only on your computer or mobile device for example, unless you have it shared on a webserver!).

After joining PostImage or one of the *other picture hosting services and uploading your pictures to the site that you want to share:

Instructions to post a picture:

Click on the "IMG" button on the top of your post.
Image

You will get this: [img]-[/img]
Then paste the URL link for your picture in between the BBC code tags:
Code:
[img]picture address goes here[/img]

Should look something like this: [url>=https://web address "link" of shared picture<[/img][/url]

*Some of the most popular image hosting *sites/services where you can upload and store images so you can share the images/photos on a forum:
*There are more available, but these are some of the more well-known ones.

Got the modified thermostat housing installed today and the core back on its way to @DieselJeepLuvr !!!

And just look at how much room there is in front of it because of the Viscous Heater Delete Kit from @WWDiesel that I also installed !!

I also change the angle of the radiator horn so the radiator hose doesn't come in contact with the CAC hose. This should help with lowering intake air temperatures (albeit a nominal amount) further increasing combustion efficiency.

Also, thanks WW for answering the thermostat question. The Mod comes fully assembled and ready to install with a new gasket and instructions with part numbers for replacement hemi thermostats. The Gates thermostats are probably the best quality and most economical one available. They do make a HD version that supposedly has a larger thermal "motor" and all stainless body but the standard ones are already all stainless so I'm assuming it's mostly sales hype for a larger price.

I've also ordered a batch of the Chinese assemblies for rebuild so I can have a larger inventory of in stock and may list them on eBay at a higher price. The few I've rebuilt were of good quality aluminum bodies but the plastic hose fittings were of poor quality and tend to want to break during disassembly.
