I had the sloppy CV to intermediate shaft spline issue creating vibration in the steering wheel. Replaced them with a dana Spicer intermediate shaft and a GSP NCV82014 CV axle from RockAuto.

The GSP CV joint on the wheel side was dry. No grease! The joint on the intermediate shaft side was greased properly.

Greased it proper and installed. FYI!
