Recently something has begun draining the battery in one of my CRDs when it is left parked for a few days. At first I thought it was a defective battery, so I got a replacement battery (since the one in there was still under full replacement warranty). But it continues to happen with the new batt too. I've looked for all the usual culprits, lights left on, accessories left plugged in, etc, but it does not not seem to be any of those. When I check the current draw, with all doors locked after a while (to let the electronics settle), I typically see 0.1 to 0.2 amps leaving the battery. This is with a clamp-on current meter, so probably only accurate to 20% or so, but still this is pretty high, I would expect about 0.05A.

Waiting for better weather to start pulling fuses and identify the circuit which is doing this. But though I would ask here if anyone has had experience with similar battery draws and what was the offending thing which was causing it turned out to be.

See this guide below, and watch the YouTube videos on how to properly test for parasitic drain on a battery. Hopefully this will help you find your drain. :D
Good luck! :banghead:

There are plenty of YouTube Videos if you search which shows how to check for parasitic drain on a vehicle's battery.
