Post subject:  Accelerator sticking? Maybe?

Seem to be having an intermittent problem. When I am hitting the accelerator it is staying at the same ROM level for about 10 seconds before returning to its normal position. Only seems to happen after being driven for a while and well and truly warmed up. Any ideas?

ERG is blanked off and unplugged if that makes a difference.

Is the accelerator pedal moving freely? Try stroking the pedal with the engine off and check for any resistance in movement of the mechanism.
Remember, this is a "drive by wire" vehicle, and the ECM only does what the electronic rheostat at the foot pedal tells it to do based on position.

Other possibility is oil (fuel for diesel) getting into the intake or airstream providing the engine with some extra fuel.
If the CAC (Charge Air Cooler aka intercooler) is filled with oil accumulation from the CCV system or a seal in the turbo is failing allowing engine oil to be dumped into the boosted air stream.
Are you seeing any excess black smoke coming from the exhaust when the ROM event takes place? This would be an indicator of excess fuel, diesel or oil.
