Since I have had the recall flash done on my BCM, when I turn my KJ off, I get a serious engine shake/shutter. That wasnt there before. Has anyone else done the recall yet, and if so, does your KJ shake like that when you turn it off??? |

I too can let you know tomorrow, supposed to get mine done at 9:00 A.M. Maybe they reprogrammed it not to close the intake butterfly when you shut it off, that's why you are getting the normal diesel shakes when you turn it off, but the body control module shouldn't effect the engine though. Who knows??? ![]() ![]() |

Sounds like the EGR Flow Control Valve is stuck open, stopping it from doing the shake & rattle when shutting down and that is what the thing is suppose to prevent from happening.

![]() I had the BCM flash done about a week and a half ago. It was quick (about 30 minutes), and so far no problems at all. Paul |

My only problem has been that I traded a RAM 1500 (yes it was a Hemi - and it was THIRSTY), and I'm having trouble adjusting to the space. I was used to great arm rests and plenty of leg room, and the Libby has neither. Getting comfortable in it is really taking time. Paul |

Did your Ram have the 5 speed auto like the Liberty by any chance? I read one post somewhere by a CRD owner who had driven a loaner Ram with the 5 speed auto and made it do the stutter just like the CRD. It was in this forum, but a different area, 4x4 or something. Can't find it back. Just curious how the trans behaves in another platform. |

Our Commander has a Hemi and the same transmission. The transmission in the Commander is smooth as glass. It doesn't shift nearly as hard as my CRD. |

I don't doubt you at all. I just don't understand how DC and the dealers can continue to fix one thing and break two. Maybe it is just a coincidence. |

Yes, it had the same 5 speed in it. It was always very smooth, but to perfectly honest it feels exactly the same in the CRD. Shift points are obviously different, but the behavior is pretty much the same. |

Man I miss the comfort in that RAM! I'm only 5'8" so I have no idea how you are doing it. As much as I love driving it, this is with out question the most uncomfortable vehicle I've ever owned. LOVE the diesel, and it represented the perfect compromise vehicle for me, but I'm still searching out the comfort spot. |

Mine would shake and rattle like hell right after turning off the ignition, not in a dieseling type way, only for a split second and just lots of shaking under the hood....got a new PCM and its back to normal....W |
