Hi, Tried to pull up codes with Innova, and Autel scanner. Neither one showed any codes, yet it shows up in the EVIC intermittently. Does this mean I have to finally replace my 18 YO TPMS wheel sensors? LOL I am going to call the place that does my NYS inspection, and see if this needs to be fixed in order to pass, as the emission readiness shows pass.

Most good tire shops have hand held scanners that they can check each TPMS individually and tell you which one is bad.
They normally can replace the bad sensor and reprogram so the OBC will see the new sensor.
Had to do that on one of mine as simply driving it with a new sensor, it would never pick it up for some reason like most said it would. :shock:

I might ask my friend with a shop to turn them all off. All I need is the pin.

I have not found a way to turn them off in the BCM. But I have been toying with the idea that most do by taking the TPMS off of the wheels, putting them in an air tight PCV piping canister that you build up with an tire valve stem at one end to pressurize the canister (30psi should be enough) that will allow the sensors to read and report back to the computer. Put the canister under the seat and be done with it.

Just curious, why not just keep them all in service? Can be very helpful in letting you know you got a leaky or low pressure tire.

Only benefit for me is when I air down when hitting the trails and not having to worry about that blinking light on the dash. But yes, I do like keeping them in service to notify me if I am getting a flat while driving. My suggestion was more for those that are looking for a way to disable the light that can't be done with programing, at least none that I have found.

Humm....i tried that same thing with a DRB III (Chrysler tool) and it didnt work for me. Although, i have the advance TPMS that shows the individual tire psi read outs. The video said it was for the basic TPM so I dont know if that was the difference or not.

If you give it a try let us know how it works out.

Limited has the EVIC, as in the video. Sport was pretty basic TPMS but I haven't owned one of them since 2017, so not sure if that is the difference?

Actually, you can do it with the DRB I did this in 2018.

Using the DRBIII:
Go into the SKIM/SKREEM module, with your 4 digit pin, and disable the TPM system. The yellow tire light on the cluster (which on mine used to blink because of its error state) now turns on solid. The EVIC on mine changed from "Check TPM System" to showing compass and temp.

Go into the Interior and Body section, and to the Cluster. In there, choose Reset learned options. The yellow tire light goes off!
