Transfer case w/n go back in 2wd

My transfer case will not go back to 2wd. It will shift into all the other positions. I couldn't shift it into 2wd at the transfer case with the cable connected or not. I replaced the transfer case and I can shift it into 2wd without the cable the cable connected. Still can't shift with the shifer into 2wd with cable connected. Looking closer at the cable at the transfer case, the cable bending so it's not going into 2wd. I can manually put it in 2wd with cable attached.

I found a cable part #52060462ag on the forum but I can't find anywhere it works on a Liberty CRD.

Which transfer case do you have, depending on model, there were three different options used in the Jeep CRD.
231, 241, & 242. They use different shift lever assemblies depending on model.

I have the Np242.

DOES NOT FIT A COMMAND TRAC TRANSFER CASE!
Must be a NV242 Selec-Trac w/full time 4x4 available.
