My Liberty will not start wit ignition key. Will start with remote only. It did not crank long enough to start using the remote this winter. could this be ignition switch or actuator? I was told to be careful digging in the switch, because the Air bags may go off. Thanks Kayaker2 |

Got it. Ordered Dorman part #924-704 and followed instructions in box. also a few YouTube videos to help build my confidence. |

This is a very good YouTube video of a Jeep Liberty that won't start with ignition switch/key and the full diagnosis process to find the problem. Then he walks you through in detail how to replace the bad ignition switch / actuator mechanism which had broke off preventing it from starting.
