Has anyone transplanted their CRD engine/transmission/wiring, into a same year gas Liberty. My 2005 CRD is severely rusted from the NY salt the motor and drive train are fine at 280,000 miles. I'm considering purchasing a southern Liberty (rust free) for a winter project. Just asking if anyone has had experience with this, thanks in advance!

It's going to be a lot of work, but doable. May want to ask the CRD facebook page to look for pointers. You'll need to transfer over all the wire harnesses with their associated electrical/computer components, and fuel lines in addition to the mentioned items. Your key and skim will also need to be transfer over otherwise the engine won't start/run.
