OK, I'm experimenting now with reseting the computers to relearn drivers input. Last night I removed fuse 14 in the dash marked diesel engine only. Then under the hood I removed fuse F5 that appears to be the transmission. I put them back in after 5 minutes. Last night engine acted a little sluggest for about five minutes when running down road the much better. Running all day today engine was smooth and trans shifted smooth as well. I don't know how long this will last but I like the results so far. I will let you know how long it last till it starts bucking again. BTW when I first took a grade under load in the first two minutes, it sputter like lack of fuel last night. If you try this, be patiance and drive normal and it will clear up. |

I posted that over six years ago and I disagree with it now. The Bosch Mastertech VCI is what I use now. The bucking was also air in the fuel due to the lack of lift pump. I installed that about a month later. |

After a new (used) tranny install with a transgo shift kit, my transmission shifted normally after the first couple of test drives to recheck fluid levels. I did not experience the issues that lots of folks had after a transgo shift kit install. The only thing I can ascertain is that the battery being disconnected for about a month caused the tranny computer to go into relearn. |
