| Post subject: | $3000 dealer incentive? |
New here - I am considering the purchase of a new CRD. I know the $2000 rebate runs through early July, but does anybody know if the $3000 dealer incentive program is still going? I am sure the dealer will not provide me with this info Thanks |

Actually the rebate shows up as $2500.00 now...the day after I purchased mine. The $3000 incentive...dealers do not want to give away but you may get a little bit. Hope you can find a CRD to purchase...becoming scarce. |

Thanks for the info. My local dealer has quite a few of them left. I am still trying to decide if I want to purchase a new vehicle with all of the known problems that the CRD has. But, the CRD appeals to me, it is almost the perfect vehicle for my needs. |

I love my CRD. Remember that over 15,000 were sold in about 1.5 years then compare the complaints against that number. |

I haven't seen the $3K dealer incentive anywhere but that one article someone listed. They kept it a pretty good secret. Usually Edmunds and other invoice pricing sites shows those invoices. I got mine for EP but that $3K rebate would have been nice to know. |

5280 May 20th I got a even $5k off my new CRD. While dealing I mentioned another dealer wasn't even close to their price. He was VERY curious as to when I spoke with them. It was 2 days previous (May 18th) I got the impression there was somthing in the way of a cut that had just been released. The first dealer called on maybe 5/24 to see if I was still interested in what he had and I told him about what I got and he was very supprised and had trouble beliving it. Then I read about the $3000 dealer incentive and knew how I got such a big cut. BTW it's a low end Limited without a lot of bells and whistles. $28,400 sticker minus $5k= $23,400 plus t&t. Very nice vehicle but there seems to be lots of bugs to be ironed out. I hope DC sticks with it and does not leave 11,000 of us hanging |

I'm with you, EP (or Green Sheet Price). When I bought mine there was only a $1000 cash back for financing through Jeep, so I ended up about $3,700 below MSRP. Two weeks later it was $2000 consumer cash. Two months later it was $2500 consumer cash AND dealer incentive of $4500 for 2005 models sold in 2006(CarMax offered all rebates advertised on the internet, $7k++ off MSRP ). American car pricing sucks. My advise to you. Call ahead of time and insist on talking to the Fleet Manager. Tell them you want $700 below invoice, on the vehicle of your choice, before ANY rebates and incentives. When they say ok, then tell them the vehicle you want and that you want the $2500 consumer cash AND $3000 dealer incentive on top of the $700 below invoice. You'll be at the $7,000+ below MSRP mark before you know it. If they disagree, leave them your phone number for them to reconsider and be prepared to never talk to them again. They will call back in a few days, or even weeks... Don't even go to a dealership until things are pre-negotiated. |

last sept I walked in cold and got my 05 CRD Limited for $22,000 when the sticker was just over 29.... You get better deals the closer to the end of the month you are. |

You get better deals the closer to the end of the month you are. You should have helped me. I got mine the very end of last September too. I had to fight like heck to get what I got. Maybe I was just at the wrong dealer at the right time... |

I got mine about 6 weeks ago at about $3500 off MSRP and 0%. If I had taken the $2K instead I'd have been at $5.5K. Still not $7K. G'z. They helped me out a bit on my trade, gave me above trade-in value on KBB and Edmunds so that helps. There were only two CRDs within 200 miles like I wanted so I'm not complaining, but it does turn out mine was on the lot a while. Like I said, I got it 6 weeks ago and it was built in May or August of last year. |

I guess it all depends on where you buy it. After all was said and done I received about $3500 off MSRP then a extra $1000 over other dealers on my trade. All this before walking thru the doors. In the color we wanted only one in a 150 mile radius. 2006 Sport CRD 4x4, Jeep green, tow and mini console built in May 2006. |
