I think my turbo is going out. I am experiencing a loss of power with a vibration during acceleration. Also I can hear a whining noise during certain speeds and RPMs, kinda like a bearing going out. I pulled into a gas station last night and there was a lot of smoke so I shut it off. I have not seen smoke since. When I purchased the vehicle my credit union offered an extended warranty that covers the turbo. So I am inclined to take it to the dealer. I have read that the GDE turbo is a much more superior product. Is there any way to have that turbo installed and still be covered by my warranty? thanks in advance for any help.

The GDE turbo kit will not be covered under the warranty as it is an aftermarket part. Since you have the extended warranty a dealer visit would be worthwhile. Hope it turns out well.
