I have been in contact with LoTek (gaugepods.com) regarding the availability of a 3-pod pillar mount. They currently sell a 2-pod pillar (installed with satisfaction by several members).

I am told that with 30 buyers, the per-unit cost would be $44, vinyl painted to match any color interior. I didn't ask what the turnaround time was.

Personally, I had intended to mount some light switches on the third pod (upper, in my case) so I was hoping it could be larger than 2-1/16" (about 60mm), or perhaps oval (something like 50mm x 70mm). But if 30 of us want to go in, we'd have to agree on the sizes and three 2-1/16" pods makes the most sense for the most people.

I have cross-posted this on the main page as well, despite the fact that most gassers won't be needing additional instrumentation.

UPDATE - Turnaround would be about 6 weeks.

It would be nice to have EGT, Boost and Tranny Temp guages.

Is the "Ditto" guage the one that warns you that you have been here before...I think in Europe they call it the "Deja Vue" guage...but it only operates for s split second and then dissapears.

We are 30% of the way there, and nearly 50% if we count the "Maybe" votes... And only the first day!! I'm thinking the weekend might get us there.

For the record, I have already bought a 2-pod pillar (assuming we wouldn't get the necessary 30, maybe I was wrong) but would be more than willing to re-install a 3-pod with the rest of you. Then I could add the Oil Press I skipped since I only had room for 5 gauges.

Looks like we are hanging tough at 20 votes for a custom pillar pod, ten short of the 30 to make it justified. Oh well, I'll install my 2-pod (already ordered) and be happy with my switches on the knee panels.

I will post some pictures and whatnot of my installl when I get it done. Parts not in yet and I am travelling next week it looks like. Hope everyone enjoys the fireworks and that no one burns the neighborhood down...

Banks is listed as doing the mods to the Liberator-- it has a three pod pillar with banks labeled guages.
So, where did they get it from?

I've contacted LoTek and asked that they consider setting up the "pre-sale area". It looks to me like we buy the pod and when the magic 30 is reached they go ahead and make the mold and so on. There is a few week turnaround expected from mold to production, however.

I hope to report soon with a link to that "pre-sale area". I'll keep everyone posted.
