Managed to get 370mi out of 17 gallons, that comes out to 21.76mpg, with my 3.7L engine this drive home...best i've had yet. Just rolled over 30,000 too!

On a side note, anyone know how much the 30,000 mi servie/check-up will set me back?

I went to the Jeep dealership to ask about the 30,000-mile service. The service guy quoted me $730. Needless to say, we did all the fluid changes ourselves.

edmunds.com says that the 30000 mile service interval is an estimated $176.41. ive used their estimates for all of the cars ive owned and they've been darn good at estimating costs, sometimes within $0.05 of the actual cost...

This is not my post but I put part of the 30,000 miles service info here…

http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... hp?t=28809

At 30,000 miles you need to change engine Oil and filter, inspect/change air filter, replace spark plugs, inspect/change PCV valve if necessary (just change it, it’s less than $10) and inspect the transfer case fluid, aid if necessary.

I changed out the front and rear difs as well as the center diff so if you’re not going to do that it’s just the oil change, spark plugs, and PVC valve. I think the spark plugs and PCV valve ran me another $170 and the work was done at Straus Discount Auto in Brooklyn I try to let you know tonight which spark plugs I used but I think they were the Bosh twin tip platinum versions.

Just FYI: the guys at the Grease Monkey in Durango (by home depot) do a darn good job down there... they'll include everything but the spark plugs in their deal and it's pretty cheap for a gasser.
