I know, I know who cares about mpg's...lol. What do you all get for your mpg? I have a 02 Renny and I get 15-16 city and 17-18 hwy. More on the 15/17 range though. Just wondered if everyone elses compared. |

I swapped my V6 for a toyota prius engine I get 64mpg haha no im lucky to get 17-18 when i do alot of highway i get around 16 in city |

18-20 before lift. Now I'm lucky if I get 15-17. Although I just found out that 92 octane is actually bad for you engine. Started running 87 and it seems to run better and get a little better mileage. The biggest factor that I found to affect mileage is wind resistance and the skinny pedal. I like to pretend that I have a raw egg between my foot and the pedal until I get off-road. Then the egg gets scrambled.

The milage bites.. To help get the most you can do this. 1. Get Amsoil fluids all around and filters. change when needed. 2. change spark plugs every 30K, and check every 10K, for right gap. 3. use skinny tires for daily driving with 3 PSI more than the door sticker. 4. use Techron fuel cleaner every 6 months. use 2 bottles for 1 tank. 5. every 30K run 8oz of water throught the intake this should take 5 minutes or use Seafoam. follow the direction. then change your oil. 6. Alignment checked every 3 to 6 months. Like Fireston life time alignement for $149. not a bad deal. if they have it and it is a good shop. 7. add a JET Chip 8. CARB approved Cold Air intake 9. light wieght Cat back exhuast with less bends then stock. 10. use good gas and the lowest octane possible. 11. service and clean your battery once a year. 12. wash the dirt off. This is my list.. use it or not... always research... |

2002 Liberty V6 4WD, original height (not factory lowered). 13MPG in the winter, about 14-14.5 in the summer, all city/suburban. Part of this is due to the EPA mandated cat pee sold in place of gasoline near chicago and the even more adulterated 'winter mix'; when I'm traveling and get gas elsewhere mileage goes up 1.5-2 MPG city, and 3+ on the highway (to about 20-21MPG). I get slightly better mileage with mid-grade but not enough to make up the cost difference; Premium doesn't do any better than mid-grade. Tried mileage rated tires, overpressure on the tires, new plugs, free flowing air filter element, synthetic oil and transfer case/gear lube. No change. Haven't done exhaust or intake changes, but if the fellow doing the 3D printer parts is able to make some to fit a 2002 I expect I will do the cold air intake update. |

I'm sure the light bar on top "helps" with the gas mileage as well. Like driving with a sprint car wing on windy days!

What the heck are you guys doing to get such crap highway mileage? averaging about 75-80 ThunderbirdJunkie still gets 20-21 with all the goodies glued to his crapbox |

Not only that, but I have a cargo box the size of a coffin on top. That helps on those windy days.  Oh and the surfboards on the other side. That balances everything. Its only windy 95% of the time here in WA. I might as well as mount my spare tire to my bumper.

The best I ever got with mine in GA was 21mpg. Usually mine is 18-19 hwy, 14-15 city. |

I'm averaging 21.7 to 22 mpg.. .and I have a Flowmaster Dual Dump 40 muffler with the K/N Performance filter and the LTT CAI Mod.. Before I put my subwoofers and spare back in I was getting almost 27mpg Lose the excess weight.. Weight is always a problem with MPG and so are Aerodynamics.. |

My computer says I get 14.9 but I do have oversized tires on it. When I did that one equation that was here for awhile I think it came out to around...15.9 average...but I could be mistaken. On the highway I get around 21-23 in city around 13-15. |

06 rene lifted with 31's. City I get 15.5-16 hwy I get 18. I did drive from flagstaff AZ to Las vegas which is mostly down hill and I pulled off 20 mpg. That was the best I ever got. And that was with 3 grown adults and 1 overly grown adult lol |

Mostly stock, custom intake mod Bosch +4's, Custom battery ground. 16-19 on the city 21-24 on the highway Best ever was 28mpg on a 400 mile trip 61 mph slight tailwind of 5-10 mph! |

Before getting the GDE tune, I was probably averaging 30mpg. As you can see from my sig line, my 5 tanks average since the GDE tune is 33.9 (at the time of this post). But that is a little low. I had one tank of 4x4, AC, and more city driving then normal. That number should go up as I am 488 miles into my latest tank of fuel and still well above the 1/4 mark. Barring a massive traffic jam on the way home, this tank should get me bout 36 mpg. Normal driving style: Almost all hwy, Cruise Control at 65 whenever I can, Usually no AC, Tires 38# nitrogen(reg. air prob. works just as well), Usually in 2wd |

I am getting between 10-13 mpg city and 16-18 hwy. I try to drive as easily on the throttle as I can, it worked well when I had my v8 Merc Grand Marquis. I could average 20-22 mpg in mixed driving. I used to think that was bad gas mileage... used to. My local gas station has gotta love me now though. |
