darn! I guess I take the cake for worst mileage. I barely get over 230 per tank! Freeway Driving! I have a lot of crap on my Jeep though. I have done all my services... my 6.1 Hemi gets a lot better gas mileage than that!

329 miles is the furthest I have managed to go on a single tank. I usually average 17 miles per gallon and that is with a manual transmission.

what year did the KJs get the bigger 20.5 gallon tanks?? Mine is a 03 and it has a 18.5 gallon tank. I generally get 20 mpg. And....when my gas light comes on, I know I have roughly 3 gallons of gas left, so I can eek out another 50-60 miles or so on the highway to the next fillup.

Stock 04 I get around 300-320

2wd 5-Speed 02 I have gotten 385 before (all highway liberal driving)

My 03 I get about 200-250 although that is not-corrected for the larger tires and all city

Yeahhhhhh, maybe my foot is a bit heavier then the rest but 260 or so is my average. Though as Tonka said, I need to be corrected for my tires to get a new average. Hoping to go by the stealership Friday. I'll repost.

Ok, so please look at my list of mods below. Beyong those mods and the complete fluid change (trans. fluid, engine oil, fuel system cleaning, diff fluids etc.) and new spark plugs, is there anything else I can do to improve my mileage? Right now I get 13.73 mpg. average.

If you're using a JET - 1 , remove it it causes performance degradation

the throttlebody spacer - as long as the ID is equal to or larger than the ID of the stock throttle body then you're alright with that.. several of the TBS inner diameter was smaller than the stock throttle body bore and the stock throttle body already had a restriction

you should be around 15-16 highway lugging the 265-75s

4.10s would help :P

You might also want to consider having two sets of wheels. Some smoother rolling 235/85R16 all-season tires will increase mileage and can still give the Jeep a nice built look.

Pulled my first 601 on the highway with a Hot tune and TCM tune still running Cooper ST 245/70/17 E full skid plates and most of my recovery gear. That is hand calculated with GPS mileage checks. Gotta Love the diesel.

You need 4.10s
around town average 15-16 highway 20-21 plus
and I never cut it any slack at red lights or on the road, if we're not doing 5 over we're not going anywhere.
and I have as much or more weight without all of the extras you have trying to get more power and mileage
I'd get rid of the Jet module, K&N intake and Insane Arms
well the first two anyways
stock air box with a Amsoil filter does way better

I have yet to figure out my mpg. I usually try to fill it up when it gets to a quarter or half tank. Most of my driving is mixed highway+city driving. After buying a locking gas cap, it does alot better. :D
Today I'll calculate my mpgs.

keep an eye on the for sale section, occasionally they get sold for about 30 bucks - fairly easy install - could be done at a M&G or somethin'

Nah rather not buy one. But if I decide to get one I'll keep my eyes on the FS section. Thanks for the tip

350 ish on a mostly interstate trip. 275-285 during a normal tank.
