Post subject:  Most Miles out of a Tank of Gas????
I am curious what people are seeing for the whole tank. I just got 423 miles out of a tank. My gas light popped was on for about 10 miles of the ride. I dont usually let it get so low, but I wanted to see how far i could go.

Currently my trip computer reads 262 Miles and I have 179 till empty according to it.

what is everyone else seeing? This was my last all highway trip with cruise set at 63mph roughly.

I have gotten 430 out of tanks on all highway driving. But I typically get about 300 under normal everyday mixed driving.

The best I have ever gotten was 350 and that was literally from fill up to having it die on me being out of gas (I was determined to see how far I could go!).

365 so far. I could have probably got another 10 miles but didn't want to risk it. If I ever do a full tank on the interstate and stay away from the mountains (ups and downs and high altitude). I bet I could get over 400. I just haven't gone on a long trip (one that uses a full tank of gas) yet.

Okay well it didn't take long to upstage this. Today I needed to get gas (it was really low) but just before the gas station I went into a supermarket to get some things for the weekend. I remember thinking as I walked into the supermarket that I better be careful to not forget to get gas when I was done shopping. Well you probably know where this is going. I got out of the supermarket and drove right past the gas station, got on the interstate and then realized my error. To make things worse, I knew it was several exits and several miles before the next gas station. :furious:

So, cutting to the chase, I didn't run out of gas but I doubt I will ever come closer to doing so. I put 19.4 gallons in my 19.5 gallon tank. :shock: I had driven 379.5 miles (19.56 MPG mixed city/hiway driving).

650km or about 400m cruse set at 110k (65mph) very few hills

I would get about 400 around town and about as high as 565 on my way to the coast set at 65 and 70. I have recently lifted it and had a set of Cooper S/T E-load range (245/70/17). I went up to the moutains last weekend pulling a loaded 6 canoe trailer and gear for 8. And i am sitting right about a 1/4 and have 285 in miles clocked. So i am thinking 350 to 400 out of this tank gotta love DIESEL. :twisted:

It depends on the driving I'm doing obviously, but the range for me is 290-330.

I have gotten slightly over 450 a few times and the best mpg for a full tank is 25.x (all highway of course). I'm wondering what ill get now with the new exhaust and intake (I'm really light on the throttle with these mods). I kinda wish I went with the crd I was looking at but the 3.7l is working out great for me so I cannot complain.
