With the water restrictions I chose not to try and hose mine out last weekend after a trip to Moreton Island. In the end I found it was actually quicker to drop the skid pan off, scoop out the sand and then just give it a quick wash. I found every colour of sand and mud I have ever been thru stuck to it, I also found a 10 inch stick stuck up under the body and was able to put some air thru the front cross member to get the sand out.

My KJ is still stock height so it just eats up the sand and mud and all the low spots wear down to the metal on sand so while I was at it I gave the skip pan a quick sand and a coat of kill rust.
