1st run at HnH...whata great facility!!!

Yesterday ThunderbirdJunkie and I went to Hillz'n'Hollarz. He went a few weeks ago and this was my first time there. For $10 it is the deal of the century. Very well maintained trails...the owner is only using @600 acres right now (out of 900 total). Trails from very easy to ummmm, I don't know...

This was also my first outing with the Powertrax, 31's and the the front and rear sways off. I am very impressed with the way the rig did. No more mashing the skinny pedal and thrashing the truck....just slow and steady.

I'll tell ya I was out for a good 6 hours yesterday and not even a burp (though a few clicks/pops...nothing to write home about since it is brand new) from the locker all the while not being easy on it. The KJ ended up doing things with a much more laid back attitude and just went forward. I even strapped a TJ out in reverse while in 4LO that was high centered in some real muddy and deep double-tracks. On the pavement I hear nothing!

I do think it is worth removing the front sway bar for the trails. It just felt and worked better...at least to me behind the wheel. The feedback I got from ThunderbirdJunkie was that I was flexing pretty good both ends.

HnH is a place I would highly recommend to everyone that has a chance to get there. So much fun...safe enough for a group of 2 trucks (with basic recovery) if you pick your trails right. We should really get another LOST ride together soon down there. It does need to be pretty dry. Most of the stuff would be slick as snot and is pretty steep. ThunderbirdJunkie and I had a lot of "wow, it's cool to see Libertys out here...I'm impressed" :roll:

Thanks for the compliments on the truck. I do agree that it looks really different with the 31's. I think with the front spoiler off it makes it look higher :lol:

. In our group yesterday we had a Rubi on 35's that was built very well and he must have said 6 or 7 times how well the KJ was working. He was a great guide and nice guy.

Heck no. I bought it and had it installed by the same shop to cover any warranty issues with no questions asked. Some things I just won't do myself. Installation was $125 and this decision has proved to have been well worth it.

More suprise than anything else. There really was only one "jackalope" in the group that said a few cracks but the whole group was 15 Jeeps and we split off into 3 groups of 5 so we never wheeled with him. I am sure Bob and Marcie set him straight if he talks too much poop :lol:

looks kinda dry....we got complementary rain the night before and the morning of my first run there....those hills going down to the creek and back up were fun.

It was pretty dry indeed. I have heard that some of the ups and downs can be pretty hard to get through if there is any kind of mud on the trails which I can believe with how steep some of them are.

I too am looking forward to another trip there.

bob & marcie are good people, as are most of the muddybuddy's folks. and yes, linus (the kid) is really an off roader, even at 4 or so. i'm looking forward to an october run when the ticks are not out in force...

The trail between B7 and B8 was freakin' awesome!! We went up it first and later went down it. I was like a creek bed up hill.
