Looks like fun. That's a tight squeeze past that boulder.

Man....
I've got to figure a way to RENT a jeep and do some runs in Vegas... :)
I go there at least 2-3 times a year and always wonder about offroading there.

Next time I'll see where I can rent a jeep so I can beat it up without worries.... :)

Great pics...!!

Yeah that boulder was intense. The first one through was 3 inches from having to visit the body shop.

Thanks for posting the pics! That was a really fun run. Xodius met us on the Red Rock side so some of us ran it back the other way so he could play in the rock garden too. Doug had a pretty sketchy moment when he slide towards that boulder but of course nobody got a pic of it (we were all too busy holding our breath!  Incubusmike took a bunch of pics that I am sure he will add to this post when he can.

Here are a few from just before I joined and some on the way back. It was great for you guys to go back on through with me. Had a great time and I think we thoroughly scared the hell out of my wife :D She said she will not go anymore after seeing Doug nearly loose it. Guess it looked a lot worse from behind his KJ.

Well, that run was great. Tons of fun, good amount of technical spots and some great scenery. Thanks Mrkake for leading the way and to Doug for doing it on the way back.

I highly recommend this trail. It was totally different from the last time I ran it 11 years ago with my dad. Much harder but better.

It was nice to put some faces with your screen names and glad to see Xodius was able to meet us and run it in the opposite direction and that his wife didn't have a heart attack or kill him on the trail. I know Doug may have needed a change of shorts after that incident on the one obstacle. He was maybe an inch or 2 from rolling onto his side and smashing his doors and maybe his head on those big boulders. That was a close call. Good for a laugh after but man that was a 9 out of 10 on the pucker factor when he started to lean and kept going and finally slid almost on his side but leveled out.

We also got to show a TJ and a JK owner that KJs are real off road vehicles. The one guy didn't really recommend us continuing with the trail they had just run but we had no issues at all with it. Everyone did great.

This needs to be a yearly run at the least.
I have like 40 or more pics, here are a few of the best shots but the rest can be seen here:

We finished the trail again with Xodius and then Mrkake, Doug and myself went and found a natural spring and did some really fun baja style driving at high speeds and had a blast. No pics of it but the spring was really cool and the baja driving left nice scratched on my KJ from fish tailing in the soft gravel into the turns with bushes and trees. Mrkake took a nice short cut that was pretty funny. :D

Looks like a nice fun run. Not too difficult but enough challenging stuff to make if fun.

Was it hot? The photos you all took make it look like it was scorching.

Up on the trail I think it was around 87-89 which was not bad. You just had to dress appropriately. When you got back down into the valley it was around 108ish. Not super hot but an average day for the most part.

Looks like good times! I sure wish I would have made it with you guys.

My new axle shafts finally got in today (busted one 4 months ago) and I am going to put 'em in the YJ tomorrow morning and probably head up to the ridge tomorrow afternoon/evening with my buddy & his TJ. It's always more fun with a bigger group like you guys had, but gosh I am just itchin for some wheelin so I will take what I can get!

If your taking the YJ I would recommend following the dry river bottom most of the way. Lots of fun rocks to crawl over :D

Hopefully next time I come down I'll have a locker or lockers and I'd like to see how fun the river bottoms are.

Yep - We're looking for some mild crawling so figured the ridge is close by and pretty tame so we would hit it instead of heading out to logandale or a51. He is still running open, just got his RE short arm and 35's on and wants to flex a bit.

Gosh I wish I had the $$$ to really build the KJ too - having that much luxury in a decent crawler would be awesome.

IncubusMike - with some good spotting and skill you can do a LOT of the river bottoms running completely open, you should give it a shot!

Where is this trail located? How long is it? Any nearby camping areas or other trails? Looks like fun! Winter run?
