Just got back from a 2 day trip into Canyonlands. I didn't have any specific place to go, rather checked out plenty of side trails and did plenty of exploring on foot. Got caught in a sand storm the second day out and promptly broke ANOTHER window regulator.

Anyways here are some pics....

Camped just outside of Moab the first night with a lovely windstorm...

The next morning brought blue skies and good weather...

Visited Arches...

And headed into Canyonlands on the 313. Started exploring some side roads...
Image

Found some abandoned water wells...
Image

Sometimes the wells run dry...
Image

Not another person in sight for 2 days (Monitor and Merrimac Buttes in the backdrop)...
Image

Found a good place to camp and chill...
Image

Woke up the next morning to find my girlfriend on top of a sandstone hill doing yoga (she's an odd one)...

The route up the hill...

It made more sense once I saw her vista...

After hiking around some more that day it was time to make our way back to Moab and head on through to Durango... it was a good trip and a nice break from work for the weekend.

Enjoy!!

They finally met their demise when a weld broke. Another version of them should be made after a couple of other projects. :D
