Just got back from a 5-day trip to run some of the trails in Michigan. We spent one day running around some of the forest service roads in Manistee and another three days in the UP and Hiawatha NF. Michigan sure has some nice (off)roads!

Day One, Manistee NF:

Thanks guys! We had a blast! Already know one road we won't be taking again - way too rutted. You couldn't go much faster than 5MPH it was so bad. It took us a couple of hours to go about 8 miles to get out of the woods.

Nice pics, I love Tahquamenon falls. Spent a couple of weeks up there at Newberry for work.

Maybe someone should organize a LOST U.P. trip. We go to Michigamme for the 4th of July weekend. Great times. There are logging roads and although we haven't done it, there's an ORV trail from Champion to Republic that I'd like to try sometime.

I didn't know about the Manistee trails. That sounds like a great time too.

*Just looked at your pics again and noticed your White Sox and Black Hawks stickers. You're lucky you didn't "disappear" in those woods. lol :goink:

Jeepfrog, you just made my wife's day. She's from Michigan originally and remembers these places from her childhood. Beautiful pictures!
