On August 3, 20012 the Bear Island Unit, in the Big Cypress reopened for the off road enthusiast! Today I had the time to return there (after several years for me) on a couple of the trails in the preserve! There are strict rules/guidelines, and laws that must be followed. The vehicle must pass an inspection by the National Park Service to be eligible to purchase an Off Road Vehicle permit (ORV permit). etc.....
