Have fun! Just saw a place on tv that was on route 66 called pop's. Giant 66 foot pop bottle with straw that lights up at night, And they have six hundred kinds of pop. |

As you probably know, one of the alignments of 66 ran up a hill near Santa Fe. http://route66news.com/2007/03/11/the-summit-of-la-bajada-hill/ Let me know if you want to run that section and I will make sure it is still open. |

In the link below, Day 8 and 9 feature NM http://www.ridingroute66.us/ I live fairly close to the Bandera Volcano and Ice Cave, known as “The Land of Fire and Ice”. To get to my place, you will actually drive up towards the top of the volcano which is the continental divide. Hwy 53 is very popular for motorized bikers, bike riders and other route 66 travelers. There’s not a lot that you are missing from Grants to Gallup on route 66, so most people take 53 which is a still a historical scenic route (popular during the route 66 days) that will take you back up to Gallup. You will pass El Malpais National Monument (which are large lava flows and lava tubes with ceilings as tall as 40 feet) and El Morro National Monument. |

Even with your larger tires, an OE replacement pump should be fine. I hope that you have better luck with your replacement than I did. I’m on my third power steering pump in less than 6 months. They were all replaced under warranty, but still. |
