Looks very similar with my wheeling areas in southern Bulgaria and Macedonia, just bit dryer, and food seems to be the same. Been at Albanian border some weeks ago in Ohrid, Macedonia, but didn't cross. Next time, swing by Blagoevgrad and I'll buy you a beer. Even two, if you behave. :mrgreen:

Thanks for sharing photos of your adventures! I really enjoyed looking through them. Were the caves/mines that you drove into actually Cold War-era airplane hangers built into a mountain? I noticed what looked like a runway, and one of the entrances looked like it had a raised center cutout for an airplane tail.

the pictures of the airplane were made near Bihac, at an old airport of the yugoslavian airforce.
