If you know of a group or a company or even the government web link(s) or trail issues please post them up here. It is important that we stay on top of all the areas we like to wheel and/or camp at. Without the support of people like us, these trails are going to close up, and be taken away from us. Now I know there are also parks dedicated to wheeling, so if there are issues with those or even if you feel its important to mention, post it up. This section of the forum doesn't get much action. So its up to all of us to keep everyone informed.

The BlueRibbon Coalition has an action alert page on their website. Here is a link to that page: http://www.sharetrails.org/alerts/

Also check out their main page for more information about the organization: http://www.sharetrails.org

All of our National Forests nationwide are going through a route designation process that will essentially eliminate thousands of miles of trails in a forest near you! Get involved and contact your local Forest Service agency to get updates on where they are in that process. Public comments on the proposals will be accepted so make sure you're favorite trails are on the maps.

Learn more about what you can do here: http://www.delalbright.com There is a ton of information about trails, the process and other things you need to know in order to get on the winning team that helps protect our public land access.

It's unbelievable how easy that OUR gov't locked us out of 95% of the trails in CA.

They did it thru the "route designation process", which, in a nutshell, did a 180 on the old "all forest roads are considered open unless specifically closed" to mean "all forest roads are closed unless specifically designated as open".

Nevada is THE last holdout, even Montana and Idaho got locked up.....we can't lose NV! It's one of the last places with an open range policy on most BLM lands...you don't have to stay on designated roads. (Not that running over 3ft high sage is that enjoyable, but, I've driven quite a few miles that way) ....and firearms can be worn openly.
