Hey all... I was just curious if anyone had heard of someone fabb'ing CJ-esque tube fenders (flares) on a KJ. I've welded some aluminum ones on an old FJ40 and think they may work out on a KJ.... I'm assuming that some thin aluminum would need to be welded between the tubes just to keep the mud at bay....any thoughts? I think tommorrow I'll throw together a PVC mockup and see if I'm way off base here.

I know there has been a lot of talk before (long before most had a KJ) about doing SWB jeep style fenders. Never really made it anywhere as far as I've seen. Would love to see some flat fender looking KJ. Wouldn't make much difference for clearence due to the wheel wells, but man talk about bitching style. You'll have to post some pics when you get it done.
