@ KjWildman- thanks for the compliment. By the way thats the first time I posted pics. How did you fix my post? I couldn't figure out how to post the pics like that. I was only able to post the links. I have many other pics I'd like to post on this great site. I'd like to know how to do it right.

When you open the window to post, along the top is boxes for formatting. Just click on the one that says "Img" and then copy and paste the link in between the tags that appear on the post. Just play with the buttons and hit preview to see if it works and to correct anything you dont like in the post before you hit submit

How many people have used this concept as pulling out some one or getting them selves out? Wondering how well the mounting etc held up.

no problems with being pulled

hooking up and pulling backwards - no different stress than being pulled.. except there's an aluminum front diff and pulling someone in reverse is a good way to spend half a grand on a new front diff

I was wondering because the offest from the mount looks long, the strength in that area and if it will flex the frame any. Wondering if its worth doing on my KK.

with the offset , in addition to the line of pull force it also causes a opposite in direction to the drop/offset of the hitch

was what I tried to combat by using a steel plate and 3 bolts

optimally if you were to strut it between the bars with some heavy angle or channel it would emulate the structural reinforcement that a steel bumper provides for the front chassis

but...

by the time you do that, you're halfway done building mounts for a bumper :P

Thats why I was wondring if its better just to have a receiver mounted to the fronf for better structural support all around

Are you using internet explorer 9? If you can't see pictures anywhere try a different browser. They's a glitch with IE9

You should be able to find it at most auto stores.

I know this has been done and buried for a while now, but what are peoples options on size of drop? 2.5" or 4" drop for spacing/visual beauty??

Cheers
