I bought a similar one a year or so ago. I really like how quiet it is, compared to my oil less. Plus up right, just much nicer. Like your idea of in closing and adding a filter.

I ended up not boxing it in, decided the potential for heat build up would make it worse. This one is way quieter than my old one anyway.

Put a cushion in the middle and you have a nice chair.

Finally got this project buttoned up at work the other day. Its a frame mounted dual 50gal fuel tank/ toolbox rack. The wood bed used to extend to the cab with a wood headache rack, it got cut back to mount the new rack. The rest of the wood flatbed will be replaced at a later date with either a steel or AL bed or hook loading container system. That truck was an ambulance in it's former life btw.

More work done to the neverending tube bumper. I'm not going to put this one into production. If I do start producing tube bumpers they'll be a little different.

I did lift it with forks on a skidsteer but didn't have anyone around to snap a pic for me (You can't exit a skidsteer with the arms up like that). Its kind of hard to tell whats going on here but this bumper is SOLID. The way its triangulated made it super strong.

Was it too difficult to produce? It looks awesome by the way.

Thanks man. Yeah, I think I need some more practice doing tube work. Its tricky for me getting all the notches and lengths correct for welding fitup. This one is far from perfect, but I'd say it came out acceptable. I still need to run tabs to mount an aluminum road sign 'skid'.

I think it looks great Morgan. Have u thought about filling in the open spots on the bumper?

Finally got it all done with the skid installed. Just a piece of road sign with the backside painted. Pretty happy with the results but there are a couple things I would change if I do any more in the future. I know I said I wouldn't build any more but tube work is fun.

Do street signs make good skids? Any cons about using them?
