Well, unfortunately my wife recently lost her Mother to lymphoma. It seems she had a couple dollars in the bank ... and annuities ... and a couple other places. It is DEFINITELY not what I was hoping for!
HOWEVER ...... I am now getting ready to just drop "Thunderstruck" off at a local shop and pay them to finish it and do some other things while they have it. I'm looking at about 3-4 mos. timeframe and I just blew the budget UP!!
Finish V8 swap & coilovers >>> 20k!!
All I gotta do is write the check.

OK! Finally got it in the shop! No SFA, but it WILL be BA!!!!! The shop is going to do it up right. I would probably take some shortcuts along the way if I had finished it myself, so probably better this way . To refresh everyones memory, He's finishing the V8 swap, C4, BW1354 transfer case, custom driveshafts, 6" lift JBA coilovers, JBA UCA, moving rear axle back 4-6", triangulated 4 link in rear, Detroit locker in front, selectable locker in rear, 4.88s, JCR rock rails, would also like a Tommudd rear bumper if I can ever get ahold of him. I'll post pics soon. Still have to get them on photobucket.

Went by the shop today. He's got the engine/trans back out. He ordered a TCI 2400 stall converter for it. Then it will go back in with a newly fabricated crossmember. (He didn't like my modified stock one.) He's also going to check everything on it to make sure I didn't miss anything. Forgot to take pics!

Ya, kinda, but not really! None of that stuff is really for the engine swap, so those monies don't count! ;-D

No real pics yet. Got a couple on fb of it on the rollback on the way to the shop and then sitting inside. I'll post some pics as it starts really going back together.

OK, so still no pics unless you go to my fb page. I'm having problems with accessing my photo bucket!
So the shop got my parts from Marlin. He got the empty steel diff and he has it assembled now with 4.88s, DTT and a 1350 yoke. He pulled the engine out, installed a new TCI torque converter and got it back in, pulled the intake back off and is reblasting it and is going to spray it with high temp clear coat. (It sat out in the elements for 3 years and oxidized) . He also has the new 6" coilovers and JBA Upper A arms ready to be put in.
He is just concentrating on getting the engine done and radiator mounted over the next couple weeks and then will start on the suspension.
Will post more as it progresses!
