You will find use for the anvil! It looks like a nice one. |

Would've come in handy as a backstop for pounding in receivers to 3"x1/4" square tube instead of the concrete but now i have the 20t press |

Even those Chinese presses can do a lot. I have to run over to my friends when I need to use one. I do have an anvil. Mine is old and was broken. Yep you can break an anvil. My Daddy Don found it for me, so it has sentimental value. |

I have a HF anvil that is loose on the welding table. It's nice for banging things to what ever shape you want. It looks like you got a nice one. Any markings on it? |

We have the bf's grandfather's anvil in our basement - looks like that one. Weighs a frickin' ton… Comes in really handy when you need something like that. |

Yeah, I have lived in some pretty scary places. Windows that seemed open when they were closed. Floors that were unlevel, more suitable for a funhouse. plumbing that had so much crud built up that you couldn't push a pencil in. Furnaces that I couldn't afford to fire up. Been there, done that! |

Unless I find the material to make my own I'll be getting one of these kits next year. http://www.swagoffroad.com/20-TON-Finge ... _p_86.html http://www.swagoffroad.com/20-TON-Press ... _p_42.html I have enough 3/4"x3" bar to make a small one, maybe I'll do that for now to play around with it. I need some 3/4"x4" bar to make a full width one but don't want buy 20' of it. |

candpliberty wrote: It looks like you got a nice one. Any markings on it? I thought it was a HF anvil since almost everything in that garage was from HF amd because its painted blue. I looked closer at it this morning and it says 'TRENTON' in a diamond shape on the side along with '72' and a ser number on the foot. It weighs 72 Lbs and the top is nice and flat. I googled around and it turns out this is an old American made anvil from Columbus Ohio! Considering I paid $200 for everything I think I did pretty well. I'll clean it up and see if I can look up the serial number when I have time. |

Atthehelm wrote: If I do make one it'll be a single full width. I haven't convinced myself its worth it to add the extra weight for my needs. It would add about 75lbs of extra weight not including mounting my hi-lift, so like 175lbs total with bumper . Think about it this way...you can have TWO spares Or... you could probably fab something up to go where the old spare did. Idk what you could/would want to really put there other than auxiliary tanks/water tanks. Keep up the good work though. We're lucky we have someone like you fabricating for our KKs. |

Got the redesigned rear done today. The tire carrier has been put off for now, but I will eventually build it. More pics after paint. |
