how do i take off the renegade bars? i am not talking about the roof rack that comes with the limited renegade, but the silver roof bars? i am wanting a roof rack, but can not decide if i want to spend the money to buy the cross bars, then the rack, or just make my own... Thanks!

As far as I know, u just unbolt them at the four corners. 2 bolts per corner. Bolts are under the plastic "feet" which seperate in the middle into 2 halves. There's an article on here somewhere about how to seperate them. It's in a section dealing with installing roof/rack lights.
