Got tired of it bouncing around on the roof rack so I notched out and welded a couple pieces of square tubing to the roof rack and ran a couple bolts through to hold the Jack on. Gona get a couple wings nuts to make it easier to get on and of. Also probably add a loop of aircraft cable through the jack and rack for emergency support (in case a weld or something breaks or a wing nuts fall off :? ) and to make it a little harder to steal.

My first welding project. Beat on the supports with a hammer and they didn't move, so hopefully they never will.

Only problem is, now it doesn't fit in the garage. I guess my wife wins

Um, turn it upside down so the foot is pointed down, not up above the rack? :?:

I like it Don. I thought I did good with my no-weld method, but you topped me!

I thought about that after the bolts were already mounted, offset. :? Doesn't fit right upsidedown

I told her she could put her van in the garage a while back when I didn't think the Jeep would fit. Turned out it just barely fit so I stole garage rights, until....
