I removed my fender well linings and sprayed them with rubber undercoating today. It looks great, and I can imagine I won't rub as much anymore, if at all (still rubs on the swaybar at full lock, but that's it so far). But as Calvin56 noticed, the fuel lines are exposed. What did you do, Calvin56? My concern is only of rocks being chucked up from the tire and slicings into the rubber hose. I'm gonna keep my eye on it when offroad; if it broke open I can't imagine it'd be too hard off a fix, since it's not like it's the gas tank, but I don't want to deal with it anyways.

where do you attach your fender flares without the linings?

Also, on my 03, the front break lines attach to the linings. What did you did with that?

You dont have to have the fender flares attached to the wheel liner. Take the liner out and simply push the fender flare back into the sheet metal with the rivits that are already there.

Zip tie just above the upper bump stop.

Yea, right. I'm gonna take tips from YOU on how to attach my fender flares!!!

Don't forget, my flares are painted and now, custom cut for hte ARB. So they're pricey to replace.

Haha. I think you could probably run some wires from the bottom of the flare to the sheet metal to hold it in place. I still have yet to brainstom on how to keep those dang flares on! Functional rivits are looking really nice right now!

The fender flares will stay on fine. There is rivets built into them that allow them to just snap into place. The brake line that everyone is referring to can be fixed by simply drilling a small hole into the sheetmetal that is behind the plastic liner and pushing the little rivet into it.

You were not at the first Fools Run. I Lost my passanger fender flare at Paragon because I didnt have the liner in. They will come off when drivnig through thick mud/water.

Yes, when you go through water too fast, those flares come off. Been there, done that!

I did get a good tip to keep from losing them: zip ties! I'm going to add at least 1 or 2 zip ties to each flare so that even if they come un-attached, I don't leave them behind in the water!

Small holes drilled into the flare and through the fender liner next to it, then small black zips through the two holes. It was a good suggestion from a trail guide who zip ties everything. I think I saw his kid zip tied to the seat at one point! Hmmm

My front brake lines are attached to the body on my '03 Limited. I pulled down the linings after popping off all the rivets on the wheel-side of the flares, and a few bigger ones attached to the body.

Any one relocate the factory fog lights with this modification? I'd be interested in seeing how to re-mount them
