There was some discussion a while back about protecting the headlights. This is what I came up with...

Front
Side
Night

They just fit inside the grill around the headlights but stick out about 3 inches or so. I figure with them sticking out, if she were to smack a post or something when she's mall crawilng it'll crush the screen first. (I hope she doesn't read this) plus if a large rock is bounced into them they should bounce it off and not strike the headlamp at all. Anyway, the wife likes them and it's her Jeep and I do what I'm told so...

Nice job! Is that just a regular strong screen type thing?

They're 8" heat lamp guards. Somebody backed in to the grill and put a big crack in it so I figured I could mess around with it and not really ruin it. They're held in place with those spring clips you would use on the "real" head lamp guards that fit a standard headlamp. I'm still looking for some stainless mesh. I'd like to cut it to fit flat just inside the headlamp opening.

Well I like the idea that your doing now its far enough out there so if something big did hit the lamp it will bounce off. If you get to close to the headlight it will bounce off but might break the head light at the same time.
