For a cheap model for some around the house stuff is it worth buying? Neighbor has one for 100 bucks that he bought last year when he was trying to redo a 50 Ford. He gave up and the welder is for sale. I have an older mig welder that I bought back in the early 80s but its about worn out from 8 years in the body shop. Thanks |

Thanks Ask If He will let you play with it first, if yes bring some odds and ends and see how it works as to your needs. If he says NO walk away If a deal is too go to be true it probably is.. Best of Luck David |

I know the duty cycle is low , just need something to play with, I have some plans bouncing around in my head that I need a small welder for, like I said I have an older one that I bought in the early 80s and we used it in the body shop for years, its a MAC WS 1110 did a great job on body panels etc |

can u use gas with that welder or is it only flux? edit: never mind yes u can. so yeah go for it im sure that it will be a good welder. we have one similar at the shop and ive used it on some square tubing and i was really impressed. for 100 bucks its a killer deal. heck i would buy it and im a certified welder that has been spoiled with new multy function digital Millers that cost around 16 grand or so. |
