Post subject:  Trans Skid (skid fab #2)

ok so i finished my trans skid today all thats left is to get some bolts and bolt it up. as i expected it was easy to make. the only problem is that there is only one nut in my xmember and none in the one by the xfer case. so ill need to drill new holes for them to mount it up. i got a few pics of it while the paint was still wet but ill get more when i get it on the jeep tomorrow. hope u guys like my LOST tribute :D figured i could show my support. i used a sound eliminating rubber coat on the top and some high temp black on the bottom. holes could have been a little straighter but once again this is not barbie's jeep and these things arent supose to be that pretty. just protect what the are suppose to and be strong. hope u guys like it!!

Looks great! You might think about making these and selling them to some of us, fabucating-challenged LOST brothers, especially a T-Case one

i could do that for sure.. as soon as im done with all my stuff. i do have a few projects for some local guys and thats also why im so behind on my rig. i spent 6 months making sliders, skids, and bumpers for everyone else. i also plan to open a fab shop when u get out off school so ill take all the practice i can get. i am a certified welder and will have my degree in welding/ metal fab. hopefully by the end of the year. i could possibly be going to work for borla so the fab shop might get put off for a few years, but im sure i will still do things on the side.

Your LETTERing on your projects make your stand out only because they show a little extra time and trouble you put into your craft. This sets you apart from the other fabricators. It reflects pride in your work, with that said you need to come up with you own little logo to weld or stamp into your works sort of your own trademark. Like Rock Lizard's little green lizard, if you take the time to add your touchs how long would your own trade mark take to add on. :D  8)
